Description
The Navitian coronary microcatheter has a single lumen from the proximal end to the distal end, and it is used both for the passage of a guidewire and for the delivery of contrast media or saline solution.
The proximal end of the catheter houses a female luer-lock connector, which can be coupled to male luer-lock accessories such as infusion syringes or haemostasis valves.
The distal part ends in a rounded and atraumatic tip to prevent damage to arteries as it advances.
Navitian also features a dual radiopaque marker band 0.6 mm from the distal end, composed of 2 opposing c-cut marks of platinum-iridium, which helps with visualization of the device.
The distal body of the catheter is coated with a hydrophilic coating. It is durable and helps with catheter navigation through tortuous arteries.
The useful length of the catheter can be 135 cm or 150 cm, depending on the reference number. The product is compatible with 0.014” guidewires. The Navitian coronary microcatheter can support a maximum pressure of 2070 kPa (300 psi) with the distal end open.
